Texas furniture store coming to Dulles Town Center mall

It looks like the owners of the Dulles Town Center shopping mall in Sterling have found a new tenant to take over a major vacant space in the center.

A large banner has been hung on the outside of the former Lord & Taylor department store saying that Campos Furniture is “coming soon.”

The Lord & Taylor announced it was closing at the mall back in 2019 — one of several major anchor tenants that have moved out. Sears and Nordstrom both also closed their stores at the DTC.

A quick search online shows that Campos Furniture is a furniture store in the Dallas, Texas area. The website only lists one location — in Farmer’s Branch, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.

The store seems to carry some of everything — living room sets, dining room sets, bedroom sets, mattresses, home decor, office decor, outdoor furnishings.

We got a peek in through an open door on the second floor and it appears that Campos is already moved in — lots of furniture on display.

While they look close to being ready, no word yet on precisely when Campos Furniture will open at the mall. And it’s unclear how much of the former Lord & Taylor space they have taken — the whole thing? Or just the second floor?

We have messages in to the folks at Campos Furniture as well as the management company for the Dulles Town Center property. We’ll keep you posted.
